Calling all coaches...

NORTH CITY COACHING WORKSHOPS & SKILLS CLINICS
SUNDAY 23 FEBRUARY 2020, LINDEN PARK WEST

1.15pm – 3.15pm: Coaching clinics; Foundation (softball) & Advanced Foundation (hardball) courses ran concurrently

These sessions are delivered by qualified coach developers and is a chance for junior softball and hardball coaches to develop their understanding of the fundamentals of cricket. Coaches will be shown skills, drills and ideas relevant to junior cricketers. At the conclusion of the session there will be the opportunity to ask questions.

3.30pm – 4.30pm: Wicketkeeping clinic

This wicket keeping masterclass will be hosted by Callum McLachlan, a former NZ U19 player and current Cricket Wellington representative player. Coaches will be shown skills, drills and ideas relevant to junior and youth cricketers. Spaces are strictly limited and are on a first in, first served basis.

3.30pm – 4.30pm: Introduction to hardball cricket (maximum 20 junior cricketers)

This skills clinic is delivered by Cricket Wellington qualified coach developers and is a chance for young players new to hardball cricket a chance to gain confidence and ensure they feel comfortable playing hardball. They have a chance to practice their batting, bowling and fielding skills. Please bring with you any hard ball equipment you have such as bats, pads and gloves. Two magnificent 100s score by North City Cricket club players in the North Wellington woman's game on Saturday against Collegians to power North Wellington to a massive 386 run total in 40 overs.

Jamie Mason-Jones 133 from 106 balls & Xara Jetly 122 from 80 balls in a partnership of 209 runs.
